Material type — Highest impact
PLA is cheapest (0.07 JD/g), Resin most expensive (0.30 JD/g). Choose based on your use case.
Model weight — Direct 1:1
More weight = higher cost. A 200g model costs double a 100g model in the same material.
Infill density — Medium impact
20% infill is lighter and cheaper than 60%. For decorative parts 15–20% is fine; for structural parts 40–80%.
Layer height — Low price impact
Finer layers (0.1mm) give higher detail and take longer but have little effect on material weight.
Support structures — Adds weight
Complex overhangs need support material that gets removed after printing — it adds to consumed material weight.
