Common Questions About 3D Printing Materials

What is the difference between PLA and PETG in 3D printing?+

PLA is cheaper (0.07 JD/gram) and easier to print but softens at 55°C. PETG is stronger, handles up to 80°C, and is food-safe at 0.12 JD/gram. For decorative parts choose PLA; for functional parts choose PETG.

When should I choose Resin over FDM?+

Choose Resin when you need ultra-fine detail like jewelry, medical models, and figurines. Resin gives higher precision and smoother surface than FDM but at higher cost and smaller build volume.

Are 3D printing materials food-safe?+

PETG is the only food-safe material in our lineup, but raw FDM prints are not suitable for direct food contact without treatment. PLA, ABS, and Resin are not food-safe.

What is the best material for outdoor use in Jordan?+

PETG is the best for outdoor use in Jordan — it handles heat, humidity, and UV better than PLA. ABS is also suitable but requires special printing conditions.
