Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ – 3D Printing Service in Jordan

Complete answers about pricing, materials, turnaround, and everything about 3D printing service in Jordan.

Pricing

How much will it cost to print my model?+

Pricing depends on the weight of filament used and the material you choose. We charge per gram, so you only pay for exactly what is printed — no hidden hourly minimums or setup fees. Most standard FDM prints fall between 5 JOD and 20 JOD. A small decorative piece or phone stand is typically 3 to 8 JOD, while a large engineering prototype or multi-part assembly can reach 25 JOD or more. PLA is the most affordable material at approximately 0.07 JOD per gram. PETG and ABS cost slightly more. Resin is priced at a premium because of slower processing and higher consumable cost. Use our free online price calculator — upload your STL file to get an instant estimate in Jordanian Dinars before placing your order.

Do you charge per gram or per hour?+

We charge per gram of filament used, not per hour. This is more transparent and fairer because you pay for the actual material your part consumes, regardless of how long the machine runs. Our rate starts at 0.07 JOD per gram for PLA.

What's the cheapest material?+

PLA is our most budget-friendly material at 0.07 JD/gram. It is ideal for decorative items, display models, and prototypes. Its main limitation is heat sensitivity — it softens at around 60°C. For functional mechanical parts or outdoor applications, PETG is the next step up at 0.12 JD/gram.

How much is delivery?+

Delivery within Amman is typically 2 to 3 JOD. For deliveries to other cities in Jordan — Irbid, Zarqa, Salt, Aqaba — the fee is 4 to 6 JOD depending on location. Pickup from our workshop in Amman is always free of charge.

Turnaround & Ordering

How long does printing take?+

Typical turnaround is one to three business days from the time you confirm your order and send the final file. For urgent orders, our Rush service moves your job to the front of the queue for approximately 50% on top of the standard print price. Same-day pickup is sometimes possible for very small simple parts if the file is confirmed before 9 AM.

Do you offer rush orders?+

Yes. The rush fee is typically 50% on top of the standard print price. Contact us on WhatsApp with your STL file and your required deadline, and we will confirm availability. For most standard-sized parts, rush turnaround is same-day or next-day pickup if the file is confirmed before 10 AM.

Do you deliver in Amman or other cities?+

Yes, we deliver across Jordan. Within Amman, orders are typically delivered the same day or next business day. We also ship to Irbid, Zarqa, Salt, and Aqaba through reliable courier partners, usually arriving one business day later. Pickup from our Amman workshop is free.

Files & Design

What file format do I need?+

STL is the industry-standard format we prefer. We also accept OBJ and 3MF files. Make sure the model is exported in millimeters. We can repair minor mesh issues at no extra charge — just send the file and we will check it for you.

Can you design it for me if I don't have a file?+

Yes. You can provide a reference sketch, a photo of an existing part, or a written description — and our team will model it from scratch. Our design rate is 20 JOD per hour. Simple parts typically take 1–2 hours; complex assemblies may take 3–5 hours. We send a 3D preview for approval before printing begins.

Materials & Capabilities

What materials do you offer?+

FDM materials: PLA (0.07 JD/g), PETG (0.12 JD/g), ABS (0.12 JD/g), TPU (0.20 JD/g). Specialty filaments include flexible TPU and Carbon Fiber-filled materials. For high-detail applications we offer Resin printing (0.30 JD/g) using MSLA and SLA technology.

What is the maximum size you can print?+

Our standard FDM printers have a build volume of approximately 25×25×25 cm. For larger parts, we slice the model into sections and bond them together. For seamless structural integrity on very large parts, we can access larger-format machines up to 50 cm. Contact us in advance for large-format jobs.

Is it strong enough for real-world use?+

Yes. PETG and ABS are the preferred materials for mechanical applications — good impact resistance and moderate heat tolerance. For higher strength requirements, Carbon Fiber-filled nylon or PAHT materials are available. Wall thickness of at least 3–4 mm and infill of 40%+ is recommended for load-bearing parts.

Is it safe for food or kids?+

PLA is made from plant-based materials and is non-toxic. However, raw FDM prints have microscopic layer gaps where bacteria can accumulate — not suitable for direct food contact without treatment. For food use, coat surfaces with food-safe epoxy. For children's toys, we recommend PLA at high infill density with sharp edges rounded off.
